When I create a horizontal spry menu, it's placed automatically at a certain
place and I can't get it to move. How can I get it to be displayed in center or
to the right instead of to the left?

I am using CS3 to create a page with a series of collapsible panels (Spry) and
am quite new to Dreamweaver. Each panel contains a list of one or more links
(content). I have a problem with the amount of 'space' created after the list
items within the content panels whenever more than one item is listed. Content
panels with one item (row of text) only have an even amout of space above an
below the text. Content panels with two or more text lines always have what
seems to be an additional row without anything. I have made sure that there is
no content in the blank space. Unfortunately the height property controls the
height of the entire panel so I have had to keep it on Auto.
Is there a way I can remove this extra space?

The goal is to have the <a href="http:.......>    html in my application turn
into a URL which contains the field SearchText=word%26word%26word.  Even though
I have the encode special characters to % turned on in Edit/Preferences/Code
Rewriting, any time I type either %26 or &, it turns into & and goes out that
way in the URL. The asp that I am using in this URL (not mine) accepts only %26
and not &. I am baffled.

Hi all,

I have created a link on a website that opens a PDF file in a new window.
For some reason about every other computer I test it on will not open the
PDF, rather it will just hang on the last 5 KB of the file and keep the new
window blank.  On my PC I'm using IE7, FireFox and Safari to test.  Only
Safari opens the PDF without problem.  At my clients site, half the
computers downloaded and opened the file (in IE7) and the other half
experienced the same problem I had.  I have many other sites hosted on
different platforms and never saw this problem.

After about 5 minutes of waiting Adobe Reader gives me an error of "A file
I/O error has occurred. The file connection has timed out"

Not sure if this is an Adobe thing or Dreamweaver.

PDF viewing

I have my database all set up where a user can register by supplying a first
name, last name.... and a picture update load via DEVELOPER TOOLBOX. So the
path to the where the image gets strored in the dB but the actual image gets
stored on my domain server. This is all great and all...However, I can't figure
out how to update an image.  When a user logs in they have the option to UPDATE
their profile, so they click onto the UPDATE profile link.  This takes them to
my updateprofile page.  Well, it does not work. I try and use the update
record, that does nto work, it only inserts a description over the old, but the
filename ends up blank and no photo gets copied to my domain server. I have my
primary ley set-up corectly, there is nothign wrong with my database, I just
can't have an update form to update the path to the new image and store the new
image on my domain server. Been pulling the hair out of my head for near 10
hours on this one!!

Any comments, thoughts, suggestions?  I'm using latest version of CS3 and have
a trial version of developers toolbox which I may not end up buying because I
cant get this figured out.

How to update images?

I often copy an entire source code of a page I am developing from the displayed
source code of a browser. Up till CS3, a full page from the <header> to
</header> could be copied. With DW CS3, only the code within <body> to 
</body>
is copied.
Likely there is setting for this. If so, could someone guide me as to where it
is at? If there is no setting, why the sudden change? I find the ability to
copy and compare code in this manner invaluable.

my site for a Local Fraternal organization. They are starting a small business.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a host that works well with a MacIntosh. A

This is more of a general JavaScript question, I think, (an area in which I'm
not too strong). With buttons that are created by the browser such as would
happen with this piece of code -

... why does the standard cursor change not occur on a rollover? What needs to
be added to enable this?

Also, with the above code in Safari v.2, the button doesn't render like a
standard Safari button. It's fine in v.3, though. Any suggestions?
